Abstract

This research was undertaken to assess nutritional status of 12 to 18 years old 343 adolescents from both sexes who were living orphanages in Ankara. For this purpose dietary survey was carried out for their total food consumption and plate wastage. It was found that in general daily energy and nutrient intakes of girls were slightly lower than boys. In connection to this, plate vvastage of girls were higher than boys.
