Abstract

This study was carried on 200 adult persons who live in urban and rural areas in Ankara. There vvas no statistical difference in prevalence of hypertension betvveen rural and urban areas (p>0.05). Linear relationship vvas found betvveen hypertension, obesity and vvater hardness. No significant relationship vvas found betvveen hypertension and consumption level of milk and milk produets and calcium. Non lincar rplationship vvas found betvveen hypertension and salt and sodium intake.
