Abstract

Diagnosis of hypertension around the world is increasing day by day and becoming the major risk factor for the death. Hypertension could be managed by lifestyle modification including nutritional treatment and disease-spesific drugs. To prevent and treat the hypertension, dietary evaluation made by current literature show the effects of not only the macro nutrients like carbohydrate, protein, lipids but also micro nutrients like sodium, chloride, potassium, calcium, magnesium, vitamin C, D, E, fiber and alcohol intake.
