Abstract

Turkish cuisine has been developed and enriched by the effects o f various cultures in Central Asia and Anatolia during centuries, and is now taken place within the most famous world cuisines due to its rich meal varieties, techniques fo r food preparation, storage and cooking, and service style. Turkish cuisine has the property o f encouraging healthy nutrition in many ways, however, it also has unhealthy practice. This review is a general evaluation of Turkish cuisine according to healthy nutrition guidelines.
