Nutritional and Health Status Of Alcoholıc Patıents

Abstract

This study has been carried out on fifty adult alcoholic patients at the Psychiatry Clinic of the Gazi University Medical Faculty. The diseases of hypertension, depression, respiratory system, liver, stomach have been found in seventeen patients. Blood lipid, cholesterol, bilirubin and liver functional tests (SGOT-SGPT) of % 20 percent of the patients are high. Most of the patients consume alcohol with some foods. % 42 per cent of the patients have normal weights, while, '% 26 per cent are under weight, % 32 percent are overvveight.
